After 25 years Consumers Insurance cancelled us. They had a data breach, never informed their customers their policies weren't being paid. After inquiring why our payment wasn't taken out we were finally told. They told us they would suspend our auto debit's until they had their system corrected. We did make a good faith payment in the meantime. Next thing we get a letter we are being dropped. Although this was Erie's issue, they refused to take responsibility. I was told to contact the underwriter and they could help. The local office underwriter laughed when I told him what the main office said. Both reps at this office treated us terribly. Great driving record, no major problems and 25 years of being great customers meant absolutely nothing to this office. They have lost their need for

I have been with this is insurance company for years. They are very helpful when I need them. No regrets. I would recommend them anytime.

This company hung up on me MULTIPLE TIMES when I had an issue... With them hanging up on me. I wasn't rude or disrespectful; I was quite polite, in fact. Do NOT do business with this company. When you have an issue, they'll hang up on you. When you don't follow their script, they hang up. If I could give zero stars, I would. They are terrible.

I called this morning to try and get some information, the person who answered the phone was very unprofessional and rude. Would not even let me get the question out and he stated telling me that he has been working with insurance for so long that he has forgot his manners. I called him with someone else who is a current customer and she was surprised at this attitude. I told her she might not want people like this handling their insurance. I would never want to have these people handle my insurance. Used to be nice family run business. What kind of people hire people like this to answer the phone? I mentioned about this behavior to my current insurance agent and he was shocked also, he knew the original owners and was very disappointed to hear about this.

Insuramce is decent but comsumer phone is set as office is closed on a Wed at 2. Date is 7/23. What am I paying you for? Are you having phone issues? Update you phone message with real information. Cant even leave a voicemail for a call back. Update review but working in IT i know you can call your phone people and have them update yoir phone message. Please do so in the future.
