Wow they haven't been paying the bills as they are contractually obligated to do under my OneCare plan. I have a heart condition and get my INR tested a couple times per month and the bill has ballooned to $330 because they're not paying for the visits. I've called them multiple times and have been assured that I am not responsible under my OneCare disability health insurance plan. I have already begun the switch elsewhere. I will be calling them after I leave this review and will be asking them to email me or send something in writing to verify that they are indeed responsible for these unpaid portions of the bills. This is outrageous!! I see the writing on the wall here and WILL be leaving. If this keeps up I see a big lawsuit in the future. I will also be contacting the attorney general
In November, CCA sent me a letter informing me that my providers might be mistakenly charging me for services that I should not be paying. The letter said that the problem was due to a mistake in CCA's system. All year long I've been sent bills from my provider(s) and paying them as best I can, slowly, as I live on a very small limited income. I am 90 yrs old and of course retired. CCA says it's up to us to straighten this out with our providers. Yet my providers refuse to acknowledge that I should be refunded. I have sent faxes and made phone calls to CCA numerous times, requesting that it is they who should refund me. Or at least straighten this out with my providers. CCA is not paying my medical bills, is not living up to their contractual agreement. I’ve called the member services line and you can’t get directly through to billing, which tells me they are inundated and they don’t want to talk to the people whom they are supposed to be serving. They simply take a message for the billing department and tell me that billing will call me back within the weeks. It’s been month now, the bills are piling up, and no matter how much I call and leave a message, they don’t call back. It is not to providers error, because it’s happening across several entities which are unrelated. I recently joined this program, and from the onset, I've had aches and pains. They don't follow-up with their plans, emailing is difficult for them, mailing out requests is also difficult - never got my list of dentists, etc until I made a call about a month later. -the other day. I never got the requests via regular mail for the list of chiropractors, dentists and eye doctors. I recently had a dental emergency and had to pay out of pocket; I had to have a tooth extraction. I just learned that my OTC items had been canceled. Had no idea until I called member services today (I was wondering why it was taking so long to deliver). Editing to add: the reply by CCA below my original review only recommended I call member services which I have done dozens of times. One of the bills that they promised to pay is now at a COLLECTION AGENCY. They will not help me. I can’t speak to a supervisor. Grievances won’t help in nor will, their compliance department. This is not legal at all. I honestly don’t know how they sleep at night while they are willfully and knowingly hurting people’s lives and the health of their finances along with giving access to medical care which they are not doing now. CCA is no longer paying medical bills that they contractually agreed to pay. This meets the legal definition of FRAUD.
