The Good: - If you get the right person (and actually get through to SPEAK to a person), you'll have an ok experience. I have had some staff go out of their way to assist me after being stuck in what felt like an endless loop of phone calls, transfers, correspondence, etc. - At the very least most of the staff have been kind, even if they are unable to help. The system itself is needlessly complicated/confusing and I would imagine understaffed, and I imagine that impacts the workers and the type of interpersonal interaction you might have. The Bad: - If you don't have the time or ability to make a phone call and sit on hold for an hour or more, good luck getting any kind of assistance. I haven't found the website to be very helpful/intuitive so it feels the only way to get help is to
This has been a daunting experience trying to find a doctor in Aurora that takes new patients with Colorado access plans. It has been nearly impossible. Not a single doctor in the area is taking new patients. My old doctor is in Denver and I was trying to find something closer so I wouldnt have to go out of the way for appointments and also I was not happy with the care at the old doctor. Not a single person from Colorado access or health first Colorado has been able to help me with this issue. All the listed providers they have are outdated and not accepting any new Colorado access patients. UPDATE TO THEIR RESPONSE: I called several times. The last time I called they basically said there was nothing they could do to help me if providers near me aren't taking new Colorado Access patient's
Today I received a template letter from my so called case manager, stating she has been trying to reach me. I haven't heard from my so called case manager since I left a message with a supervisor back in March. This company doesn't care about the members They don't assist in anyway what so ever. If you need help you're SOL! I'm still waiting for testing supplies five and half months into the new year.
Tired of all the discrimination from this organization. Then being denied state and federal rights. Lack of accountability. Unethical 'find a provider' website. They are preventing me from accessing the care I need because the care I am looking for is 'covered by medicaid' yet 6 months in and I still do not have a provider that can help me because non will do the testing I need because of how medicaid pays lower for the testing based on my diagnosis. But I cant get care for this outside of medicaid because it is a "covered service". Do better medicaid!
After being accepted less than a year ago, I have been billed for a number of services that were supposed to be covered. Every call I have made, I am told "we're sorry, our system is down and I cannot access your file." I recently returned a call with the code they gave me and it wouldn't accept my code. I got a hold of receptionist desk, gave her my information and she says "I'm sirry, we're having trouble with our system abd I cannot access the message they sent you...but it shows you have Medicaid..." Well, duh. I knew that. Worthless system. Work on it.
