I had been with USAA for 10 years. During a financial hardship they terminated my policy after I had even communicated with them. There were no calls, messages, texts or emails. I received the termination of policy letter via regular mail. When I called them to see what we could do and fix the problem they stated to me that i would need to pay the 300 past due and 1200 upfront for new policy coverage for the upcoming six months. 1500 that obviously still a hardship! When I said I did not have that upfront at this time I was basically told that I am always welcome to come back in the future. Then I found Rick Hastings and State Farm. It was his superior customer service and personality that won my business. Their rates were comparable but I chose a company who takes their customer experience seriously and has reputable salespeople employed.
