I am happy to report that this was not in person. If it had been, I truly believe that Jim would have treated me differently. Right from the beginning of our over the phone conversation, Jim was extremely rude and socially discriminatory toward me and others in which he was referring to. This gives me a good indicator that I would have been treated differently by the type of car I drive, the profession I have and the location in which I live. Jim treated me as though I wouldn’t have a nice car, I wouldn’t have a successful career within and national corporation that has been around a lot longer than his small third party insurance company... or for anything that I am actually worth. I registered with Google+ just so I could describe to you the experience I had with Jim Bergstrom at Bergstrom Insurance. I hope that you find it enlightening. Over the course of several weeks, I had been in contact with Mr. Bergstrom regarding insurance quotes. I stopped in late one day and he worked with me to explain various policies, but he was unable to provide a quote through Progressive on the first day citing a discrepancy between Progressive's square footage versus that of the County Assessor. He said all we had to do was fax in the county assessor's paperwork and they would make appropriate adjustments. He didn't fax them the paperwork. I called and left a message with his assistant. The call was not returned. I stopped in a second time and he did not know who I was until I ex

I called him to get a quote on a summer home that was not going to be our primary residence. Told him this information. He gives me a quote and explains to me that no one will be able to touch his price. He asked when would I my decision and I said in a week or so. I call him back to get the insurance, he pulls up my quote and proceeds to tell me he cant insure the home because it was not going to be our primary residence. Which he know!!! I told him that would have been nice to know and the response was, yep your right. Now our closing for the house is delayed....One unhappy person here.

Jim has always been available, whether by phone or in his office. He's knowledgeable and helpful. I've appreciated his assistance on a number of occasions.

Awful!! Don't use this guy for insurance. His arrogance blows my mind. I do not understand how anyone could ever do business with him. He is extremely rude, and only concerned about people owing him $5 for parking in his parking lot. He lost me as a customer forever. I have also told everyone I know not to use him.
