I use one of ASPIDAS equity index annuity products for clients who generally age out at other companies at 80-85. Generally speaking EIA’s have gotten a bad wrap for companies bait and switching their cap rates, participation rates etc. I placed a client in this particular product 1/6/2023 with a cap rate of 13% on the SP500 1 year point to point interest crediting option. A cap of 13% in this type of product is impressive in itself. The contract hit the cap its first year but what’s more important is that the cap was renewed the following year at 13% as well. All too often I have seen companies suck people in with a favorable cap the first year and then reduce the cap in the second year down really low (2-3-4%). I am not speaking to the fact that everyone should buy a product from ASPIDA,
