Used my FSA card at CVS for a single transaction that included 1 prescription and 1 bottle of multivitamins. The card accepted the reactive treatment and kicked back the preventative care (I tend to get blood panels that come back low iron, low B, and low D; I wasn't getting the vitamins for funsies. God forbid I try to prevent having to go to the doctor unnecessarily). Even the pharmacy tech remarked how stingy Allegiance FSA is. This entity is the epitome of our broken health care system. That transaction experience made me feel like I was in a dark comedy, it was so on the nose. The card also will not work at the Curry Health Service Pharmacy, period.
Worst FSA I have ever had. Will deny ELIGIBLE FSA expenses and blame the IRS. Takes 5 minutes to navigate their phone try to talk to extremely unhelpful represenatives.
Absolutely horrible service. They provide EOBs placing all dates of service on one EOB makes it confusing and unwieldy for submitting for reimbursements with an HRA. They do not track when Out of Pocket Maximum is reached. I had surgery that pushed me over my OOP maximum in March. I am still getting charged by a provider because Allegiance is not reimbursing them the full amount. Their website is not user friendly, I cannot access claims prior to April, for some reason. It appears to be a grift to funnel more more money from those who pay for insurance and frustrate end users to the point of giving up.
Zero star .... Hands down worst experience in healthcare benefits. No customer service ... Long in effective phone wait lines without any resolution . I can also add their standard reply here It would be this .... copy and paste ....do your self a favor avoid if you can . Saying that as a healthcare provider myself " Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss specific details on a public forum. We have reviewed what caused the delay on your claims and made adjustments to speed claims processing moving forward."
I have had nothing but good experiences with Allegiance. I have had them twice through two different employers. Yes, I echo other reviewers that their customer service wait times can be frustrating. But once speaking to a representative, I have only ever received the best help. If you’re able to use a computer, there’s a lot of helpful resources in the patient portal. Recently I had an issue with a hospital billing my insurance incorrectly. I called the hospital multiple times and even went into their office to speak to them with my paperwork. Still they were billing wrong. I called Allegiance for help and they let me know how to submit the claim myself. Within a month their insurance adjusters had looked at the claim and sorted everything out perfectly! They canceled the hospitals previou
