I would NOT recommend doing business with Acrisure in Waterbury. I had them as my agent for 15 plus years and never had any claims or issues. I retired from that profession and requested my insurance to stop on a certain date and the balance ($2500.00 plus) be refunded to me. I started this process in mid September and it is now mid December and still no money. 12 weeks is far too long to get back something that is actually mine. I have emailed and talked to the account executive and while all have been friendly, none have made happen what should have happened 10 or so weeks ago. I review many things on Google and have never left a review of this type, please think twice about sending them your money.

A broker got us signed up with Security First. We had to pay $175 for an inspector to come in and do a full inspection. He said everything looked fine. We paid the annual premium up front. Then we received a letter dated 2/28 saying they were cancelling our policy on 2/26. Since that time, they have not refunded our money, over $1400. We've been told "the check is in the mail", but 10 days ago we were told that the check never really went out. The associate said it was being "expedited" and if we didn't receive it by today, to call back. We did. They sent it to the wrong address and were going to "expedite" it again, meaning another 10 days. They will do nothing to make it right. We asked for overnight delivery and they said that's not their policy. We asked for a supervisor and were told

At first I thought this was a good deal working with one agent who found me a "good quote" money-wise with the First Insurance Group, but after some time, I realized this was a terrible business deal. After a few days, they asked me to install their app, go room to room, appliance to appliance at my residential place and take pictures of my home for them!? If I am paying for the insurance policy you, the First Insurance Group, aren't you supposed to do that if I pay you? I have had policies with so many different insurance companies in the past few years, but I have never had to do what they asked me to. I did not like that at all. Because I own a small local business, I prefer to work with other small local businesses, as I expect their attention to detail mirror mine. It is imperative to trust the circle of partners you create to help make your business successful. Security First is the leader of my circle. Their customer service is beyond the "5 stars" available to me.....from the principals of the agency to their sales team to their account service team.....everyone is ready with help and answers to all of my questions. They did a comparative analysis of my former insurance policies and explained to me where we were over insured and most importantly, under insured and presented a superior AND less expensive option. Without a doubt the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. I switched to this insurance company last Dec. because their rates were more affordable. After switching and paying in full, they billed me 4 months later for another $200. I’ve spent countless hours on hold and finally with an agent trying to straighten things out after receiving cancellation notices for failure to provide documentation. They told me everything was all set. A month later I received a bill for an additional $200. If I don’t pay it they will cancel my insurance. It’s the old bait and switch maneuver. They promised me a lower premium and I ended up paying more than my old insurance company. Would never recommend them to anyone! I also blame Geico for putting me with this company.
