Wellabe

You might think I chose Wellabe because my name (Abe) is in the company name. Not true. Wellabe was recommended by by my insurance agent ( at the time the company was Medico). The very few times (which speaks to the quality of the company) I had to call their customer service line. my questions were answered promptly, courteously and completely, Even if your name is not part of Wellabe, I would encourage you check them out.

I opened up a final expense policy March 13th, 2023 for my mother who passed away on May 1st and well he has had all information needed to start the final expense claim and needless to say they yet have still started it and told me it could be a week or two before they get to it and then they do start the claim look forward to another 30 days waiting on the claim to be finalized let alone paid out, Unfortunately we have never missed a payment let alone we're never late on a payment and from the sounds of it it's going to be a couple months before I even get to let my mother to rest which is beyond chaotic and hectic. Plus I was on the phone with a representative who was very rude and inconsiderate especially considering it wasn't even a week after I lost my mother so if you're going to hav

First time accepting this insurance and literally the last time. The pt passed away, unexpectedly, 10 days after treatment. This company has now refused payment for the services the pt received while alive stating the pt was now deceased and no longer covered and to provide proof w/o sending x-rays that the TX was done while the PT was alive. We sent the pts literal OBITUARY with a copy of the DOS. less than 24hrs they sent another denial of payment because we didn't include an x-ray. Are providers supposed to go after grieving families for payment? Because we won't. Especially not those that fall victim to crappy "insurance" companies like this one. I can't speak to the competitive value/worth of Wellabe's life insurance policies. What I can tell you, is that my mother had them, and after she passed, they have been by far the easiest for us to deal with to close her account and claim the benefits. The customer service has been above and beyond all of the other insurance and financial companies we've been dealing with. They were so pleasant to speak to and work with, that I know I will definitely consider them if I should need life insurance in the future, just knowing that my family won't have a hassle claiming it is a real plus.

I am an independent agent and place policies with Great Western all the time. They are an excellent company with great financials. Very safe, excellent customer service and most importantly, they pay their claims fast. Usually in less than a week in my experience.
