They levied a 41% increase on my auto premium despite having no incidents and over $150 increase on my homeowner's with no claims or improvements. I saved more than $1300/year on home and auto premiums with better coverage with just one phone call to a competitor. The agent's attitude towards keeping my business, after being loyal to Farm Bureau for 13 years, can only be described as indifference. Pay attention to your invoices and explore your alternatives. You'll be glad you did.
I called to let my local rep know i had completed the repairs on the property i had purchased. The call was never returned. When it was time to renew my home owners policy i never got a notice in the mail. I called the local branch and i was told my policy had been cancelled. With NO NOTICE. They told me it was because i had not made the repairs on the house.. The same repairs i had contacted them about months prior. Then i was told i had to pay my premium, re-sign up for farm bureau membership and i would probably have coverage again. Keep in mind they cancelled my property insurance with NO NOTICE. I have had a new roof installed ($5,500) and done over $10,000 in home repairs/renovations. They need to pay more attention to customer care.
