University Insurance - Erie Insurance Agency

I have been shopping carefully for automobile, homeowners and a liability umbrella policies for the past week. Today it was an easy and obvious decision for me to select Erie from University Insurance in Chapel Hill. Their representative, Annie, was incredibly well informed, articulate, knowledgeable, courteous and polite. When I was approved by the Erie underwriters for all three policies at $480 less than the other six companies from whom I had received quotes for the same coverages, Erie was my obvious decision. Our new policies will be effective December 18.

Moving to NC and getting my first insurance policy on my own has been anything but stress-free. After getting the best quote online from Erie, I called University Insurance and Annie was SO helpful. She helped me not only find the right plan, but made me feel comfortable about the whole process, providing other helpful tips and just being a joy to speak with. I didn't think I'd ever be excited about a car + life insurance, but here I am!

Harvey Eveleigh owns University Insurance in Chapel Hill NC. His talented assistant, Annie Johnson, provides the highest level of technical, administrative support to this agency. After decades of loyalty to my previous insurance company, I experienced significant lack of critical initial/follow-up communications, higher rates and insufficient coverage for my three policies. We have purchased insurance, homeowners, personal liability, life and auto, from University insurance beginning in 1998. Harvey Eveleigh, proprietor, has been helpful and supportive during these years, frequent reviews of our policies and most years the premiums have come with reasonable increases until this policy year when homeowners increased by nearly 25% and Auto by 13%. This review is prompted not by Harvey but by the arrogant and rude exchange with his support person.....in their office on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. During the 30 minutes, or so, that I sat in Harvey's office and he discussed the increases and our interest in obtaining quotes from other insurers, Annie J. Harvey and the crew at Erie/University Chapel Hill are awesome. Truly amazing and extremely professional. I change cars more then underwear and poor Harvey is always there and very responsive to swapping a car of my policy and adding the new ride. Everyone I’ve dealt with here has been a pleasure.
