True Insurance

Be aware if you're moving out of state and using True insurance. I've been a customer for over a decade, and have moved out of state several times with no issues-- Until now. True is now refusing to cancel my policy and is making me pay for my current NY policy PLUS my new policy in the new state I moved to, until they can receive PROOF FROM THE DMV that I turned your plates in. I've talked to several insurance representatives from other companies ( including one from Erie Insurance who is my actual provider) who all say this should NOT be the case and that I have the right to cancel my policy at any time I want to. According to True, this is ONLY their policy and has nothing to do with the DMV nor my actual insurance provider. So unless you want to get completely screwed by having to pay

Use a local Insurance agent. True answers the phone when I call, I speak to a very nice human and they deal with my giant Insurance corporation for me. I have been a True customer since 1990. I stay because of the great customer service. Unfortunately, my son recently had a deer vs. car accident (all ok, except the deer). True has been fantastic in dealing with the whole matter. The claim, follow-up, and subsequent new used car purchase. Their responses and interactions are all upbeat and amazingly quick. I am not only a lifelong customer, but my 20-year-old son has seen the value of a local agent. They has made a crappy situation much better.

My wife and I have been very pleased with all of our dealings with True Insurance. They have been handling our home and auto insurance for a number of years now. We have found their pricing to be very competitive and the two claims we've filed, one auto and one home, were handled quickly and to our complete satisfaction.

I have been with True now for about 7 years. I switched because they found me car and house insurance for half what I was paying. I check often and True is always the best. And I had to make a claim once and they were quick at dealing with it and my rates didnt go up. They are the best. Tell them I referred you and I get a free bagel!They are the best!

We’ve been using True insurance for five year for both home and auto. Excellent service. Prompt returns of calls and helpful with questions, and very reasonable prices. No claims so far but we expect helpful service if we ever do have one
