I previously gave a negative review for Northwoods Insurance, but want to change it to a good review. After a mixup with me accidentally deleting an email from Lindsey who did give me better quotes for auto and renters insurance. Ryan called me and within 24 hours I got the better price. I have been with this company for many years and they are good. I appreciate how quickly this was resolved.

Horrible experience. I do NOT recvommend The insurance agent I dealt with did not add my pool to the insurance (thankfully I caught that on the paperwork). After I signed the paperwork I received over 10 contracts to sign (which I didn’t). They were also sending someone out to survey my property (message stated I will not need a interior inspection and I did not need to be home) but apparently they did need entry and the agent told them I refused entry to my home. (Which I wasn’t home) Then the insurance agent did not ask the proper questions if I had a dog when I switched agencies and then my insurance was canceled. Cause of the dog and not allowing entry. I spoke to another agent because this all came as surprise. The insurance company said then the home owners insurance company will

Worst homeowner insurance company and Adjustor imaginable. Refused to be accountable for broken water pipe damage, exceedingly poor appraisal of catastrophic damage. Left me in an position to pay all “due diligence” and then refused to reimburse me for out of pocket loans and expenditures (with receipts). Never compensated me for actual losses, extremely Dishonest and apathetic. Left me with tragic loss, debt and minimal compensation. This was my home and rental property along with my income. The agent and adjustor Informed me that In order to proceed with repairs it was necessary to put a down payment of $30,000 to a contractor that they work with. I was already out $100,000 and in Debt, (for due diligence) so I couldn’t proceed with repairs. The company then canceled my homeowners policy

I have merged my business with them, Don Saam Insurance Agency LLC in Hornell. They have wonderful customer service, my staff is well cared for, and we are one big happy family. I have multiple policies with them.
