I am having the worst insurance experience of my life! I joined AARP a few years ago and got the Hartford advertisement then decided to switch from Travelers. I filed a claim for glass damage. I got no response in 3 days. I went on the app again and it created a new case. Still no response after calling more i finally talked with someone and she sent a link to send pictures. Got no response again. I had to reach back out and was told by the glass department that my adjuster Nora Withrow said the windshield was already repaired and was denying any further claims. I told him no one has attempted any repair he said she thinks it was prior to my policy activation in 7/2025. I said I have been your customer since 7/2024. You don’t see that? Being told by this company that after making my first payment in November I would not have anything due until January 2026. I receive the policy documents in the mail and shows I have an additional payment for $300+ in December. I called to find out clarification and they said there was an endorsement change that added that amount. I asked why they wouldn't let me know there would be a payment added in December that's higher than the regular monthly payments, no explanation. I asked if they could alter the payment to a later date in the month or even spread out that additional payment over the remainder of the months and they would not adjust anything. Hands down unprofessional, and they already gave a bad first impression. Will be looking for another company. People get tired of these ins
Do not waste your time or money. You paid lots of money for years and when you have a claim they figure out the way to not renew your insurance. This is why they have very bad reviews.
I had auto pay set up. It didn’t go through, for reasons I can’t explain (adequate credit?!?) Rather than utilizing one of many ways to contact me, they simply cancelled my policy without notice. 3 weeks later, I am reviewing my bank statement, I see there was not a draft to them so I call. Well, they have my address correct on file, & they will not reinstate my policy because they “sent me a cancellation.” After indicating several times I didn’t get a cancellation notice, I get “well, what can I say, the mail stinks.” So, after years, no claims, no tickets and paying in full every policy period, this is what being a valued customer at the Hartford means. Ironically, I had a $72 balance from policy changes I made a month prior and THAT bill arrived after I was cancelled. Corporations today
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and growing concern with the handling of my long-term disability claim. The process has been disorganized, frustrating, and filled with delays and inconsistencies that have only compounded the emotional and physical toll this situation has taken on me. Given the sequence of missteps, delays, and outright errors in handling my claim, I feel that I have been discriminated against, treated unfairly and with a total lack of consideration for my well-being.
