We have had our homeowners insurance policy since buying our home in 2001. We’ve only had two claims. One was when our heating system caught fire. We were denied that claim because our heating system was deemed too old. This home is old, we purchased this home old and we insured this home because it is old. The second was a claim regarding our pool incident. That issue has been unresolved for going on two months now. At this point, we’ve determined the best solution for us is to find an insurance company that will not hesitate to provide a helping hand, will return messages and phone calls and not give excuses as to any answers we look for.
