Customer Reviews
Terrible about paying legitimate claims. Their preferred network bodyshop repaired our truck with hot glue...literally hot glue. When we complained, State Farm told us the body shop said they didn't do it and that was the end of their investigation. They never even looked at it. They just looked at pictures. Repair was about a year ago. Vehicle was driven less than 1,000 miles and garage kept since the repair. If it weren't for the custom work being done, we'd never know anything until the right headlight fell out. The back of the right headlight was broken, the headlight bracket was broken, and a bracket on the fender was broken. We'll never use State Farm again. These "repairs" left our vehicle in an unsafe condition and State Farm refused to honor their lifetime warranty on all repairs.
As a long-term A+ customer with a clean record, (over 20 years) I am incredibly disappointed in State Farm’s handling of a safety-critical claim on my brand-new 2026 Honda Odyssey. Despite being provided with official engineering documentation from American Honda—including the Owner’s Manual and technical Job Aids—State Farm is refusing to pay for the manufacturer-mandated OEM windshield. Honda explicitly warns that aftermarket glass can cause 'abnormal operation' of the safety systems, yet State Farm is following a 'fail-first' policy, refusing to pay for the correct part unless I first install a part the manufacturer has already labeled as non-compliant. This ignores the 'pre-loss condition' requirement in their own policy (Form 9810A) and creates an unnecessary warranty liability. Unde
I was extremely happy with State Farm. I recommended them to everyone. I highly recommended drive safe and save, because more people should drive safer! Until very recently. I have never felt less appreciated as a customer. Long story short, I noticed my next bill was going to be higher, reached out, was told my drive safe and save beacon was not working, which caused me to lose my discount, although proof on my end showed it was working. To be told I need proof from prior to the last 30 days, we'll the app only shows the last 30 days. So I reached out to customer support, apparently they "cannot release your drive safe and save data without a subpoena signed by a judge". OK, sure, if you were releasing it to somone other than the person whose data it is, that would make sense. Fine, I cou
I want to commend Kim (Claim Specialist - Auto and Property – Complex) and Bria (Claims Specialist) for the excellent customer service they provided in the aftermath of my car accident. The accident occurred January 27, and by the end of that business week, Bria was assigned to the total loss portion of the claim (under my collision coverage). She gave great advice and guidance along the way, particularly on how total loss on vehicles is evaluated. She even submitted an auto service document I provided (after the settlement was calculated) to see if the total loss amount could be increased. The entire loss calculation was made within six business days after the accident, which was a welcome and rapid turnaround time. The payoff on my car loan reached the lienholder just two days after that
In January 2024, my spouse and I experienced a surprising car accident over a curved highway bridge following winter weather conditions. The circumstances of the accident panned out in a miraculous way for us. However, we needed support during our difficult time, and all State Farm representatives provided top-notch service across the board. They helped us efficiently handle the administrative tasks so we could focus on healing. Thank you, State Farm, for being reliable when it really mattered.
