They ripped off my father! Called and asked them to remove my mother from my dad’s insurance in December 2022 because she passed away and told them to change his address because he moved in with us. My father has everything on auto pay and did not realize how high his charges were. My dad has been battling cancer and our main focus was his therapy. i set up mobile banking a few months ago and I realized for 2 older vehicles he was paying over $200 a month and doesn’t drive anywhere. For example he has a 2002 Ford Ranger with 98,000 miles and is the only owner. They continued to charge renter’s insurance knowing he did not live at the address they were charging for. I'm not sure of how to rate this, I'm ok with the agency , totally unhappy with what we have to pay ,or maybe very disappointed with either Allstate, or the Insurance Commissior of this state NV. And every one is going digital, similar to this survey, And since this is posting publicly. I took Allstate from a ad and did everything on phone, that will be something I will not do again .Any insurance, regardless, will do everything they can ,,, because that's were the money is made, my mistake is [ for me ]not researching many more options. Again Allstate seems to be okay ..I do not dislike the people, in Reno/ Sparks, you give them 5 star. 3 Star. 2 or 4 , I'm going in the middle, again they are there for you all . Called to cancel my policy several times over the last month because I found cheaper insurance (about 1/5th of what I was paying Allstate) it took me several days of calling and getting voicemail and talking to automated systems to get to the point where I was actually speaking with a person. I told them I had purchased a policy from another company a month ago and I want to cancel. To which they said they need a handwritten letter in order to cancel and my autopay would charge me on the 15th. I told them to take me off autopay and Shawn said "have fun dealing with collection notices in the mail."
