I can’t believe this insurance company will Pay for your medication's for two months and then all of a sudden they don’t want to pay for it and take you off Cold in your tracks. This medication has serious side effects from stopping it immediately. I should hold them 100% responsible for whatever happens to me. What blows my mind is one prescription is helping with four different things in my body. I hope one day whoever sets behind that desk, making the decisions to take somebody off of their medication, I hope the tables will be turned on them or a family member and somebody does that to one of them too see how they like it. I don’t know how somebody could sit behind a desk and make a major decision on somebody’s prescriptions/Health not to cover it. Do better Samaritan health plans. Zer
I had to request a benefits book 3 times before they mailed it along with my insurance card. When I called and asked a question the gal put a recorded answer on and never came back even though I said I had several questions. I had to go to the doctor without my insurance card and almost got turned away after waiting a month and a half for my appointment. On their dental plan they only have the name of one dentist. It’s up to the insured to find someone who will accept it. Shouldn’t they at least know some of the dentist offices as possible references?
I have been getting "final notice" on bills that have been submitted twice to Samaritan. I am getting threatened with collection notices because you guys are not paying. Your bills are ridiculously complicated. It's hard to tell if you have paid and what you have paid. This is unacceptable. You do it because you can. Do you really need an entire cover letter with every bill.? Your IT department should be able to fix that. What a waste of resources. You are far quicker at responding when it is you that is owed money. *Update. You have time to respond to an online review, but according to the recording I have been getting since about 1:00 p.m., you are all in a meeting on a Friday afternoon. I am beyond angry. Someone needs to call me as I keep getting that recording. It is now 2:30.
I was given a referral to Dr Rice neurologist at Corvallis Clinic for atypical trigeminal neuralgia by my primary health provider from Samaritan Dr Rice wanted to check me out for TMJ. And give me an MRI. Samaritan Choice refused to pay for my Dr visit or MRI because they will not pay for TMJ. I had to pay $630 out of pocket. And cancel my MRI. Sadly I am a 32 year employee at Samaritan giving anesthesia to take peoples pain away yet they won't cover my care for the chronic head pain I have had for two years. It affects my work
I am on Medicare now and have Samaritan Advantage Premier Plus as my supplemental insurance. I love that it's local and affordable. I do wish the copays for specialists weren't as high, but I do understand having to raise our copays to $35, as Specialists have raised their prices so that their fees are astronomical. (However, they are in the Samaritan group.) I'm glad premiums went down a little and that they added more features like a SamFit gym membership for free and more dental coverage. Now if they would add more vision coverage, it would be perfect! Samaritan could offer vision insurance separately, I would definitely be happier because even though I'm a senior now, I still have the need to have my eyes checked and get new glasses. My husband is going on Medicare soon and will b
