Ryan Gerharz - State Farm Insurance Agent

State Farm itself is fine. However, every 6 months for the last few years the price of our polices would increase. When I would email asking for an explanation it would often take several emails for someone to respond and often not fully addressing our questions. Also, my husband had called to see if we had coverage for a trailer he was using and over heard the agent in the background saying “I don’t know what this guy doesn’t understand..” we were able to find comparable coverage for much cheaper. I would be willing to return to State Farm at some point in the future but would never recommend this agent.

Fine.... As long as everything is fine. However did not demonstrate a willingness to work with us when hiccups arose. We used Ryan's branch for several years for home, auto, and umbrella policies. Those years were fine. However when we bought a new home and got a policy for the new property, we were told 3 weeks after paying for and acquiring the new policy that it would be cancelled unless we replaced our roof within 3 weeks. While this is their right, the handling of the situation was poorly done with no interest in finding a solution: - The age of the roof has been disclosed up front, so revoking the policy 3 weeks after acceptance was an unexplained surprise. Nothing had changed with the home since approval. - Other policies reduce coverage of roof related issue but still insure th

Ryan is the best insurance agent I have ever worked with. He is always prompt to respond and keeps things simple. I personally have been working with Ryan for several years. From being a single renter to a married home owner I have been taken care of with no headaches.
