RCU Insurance Services

Impossible to chat with, never do anything proactively and don't return messages or email. They are supposed to be an independent broker but only care about how big a commission check they can get. They made it difficult to cancel my policy when i asked it to be canceled, filling complaint with CA insurance board. Run away from this firm.

They are a broker with limited power. It's just another layer of bureaucracy. In addition, they are hard to get a hold of.

Way to go getting ahead of the insurance crisis. Our homeowners insurance was dropped and it might have been nice for RCU insurance to send us a "we're here to help" letter. Instead I called them when we received notice, two weeks and 3 phone calls later we got a "we can't help you" email at 530pm on a Friday, with 5 business days left to solve our problem, confidence shaken, sure glad we got our mortgage through RCU too 🙄 Response to the comment below: we requested RCU help us apply for FAIR, because we didn't know what else to do. We never received another phone call. Sure, we can call that a "positive response".

Sometimes the staff arent knowledgeable and they need to work on there staff's capabilities. I get told several times things are not possible, or my car payments been made when it hasnt i have to call a manager and then they find it where they made an error all the time. Service is a hit or miss. The staff that do know are great and staff in the windsor branch are more welcoming than the santa rosa branch on mendocino

The first impression was met. Beyond my expectations. Very welcomeing and friendly. Thank you all for making my experience at RCU a wonderful, memorable one
