Mixed feelings about ProStar Insurance -- started out great, but my final experience has left a really bad taste. A few years ago I switched to ProStar because they got me excellent Encompass coverage at a fantastic price (both home and auto). For a while everything was smooth and I was happy to recommend them. Unfortunately, over the last 2-3 years the rates kept creeping up, and this year State Farm beat them by thousands with even better coverage, so I decided to move. That’s when the real problem happened. My Encompass policy is still 100% active for another month (only “pending cancellation” because I’m leaving), but I needed a simple lienholder update for an auto refinance. This was one of the most frustrating insurance experiences I have ever had. Kris Jackson at ProStar provided incorrect information and showed a complete lack of ownership during an already stressful situation. I was told my assigned agent was out of office for the holiday and that nothing could be done. However, that agent’s voicemail clearly stated to press 1 to be connected to another agent, which I did. The alternate agent immediately confirmed that what Kris told me was incorrect. From there, I was forced to do the work myself. I personally called the policy department to remove our totaled vehicle from the policy. I've been with Prostar for a few years but the recent help I received motivated me to write a review. My wife and I recently moved while our policy was up for renewal. Our premiums increased by $50/mo just with our new address. I contacted Anthony to review our policy and where he recommended we could make cuts to a more affordable rate for us. I was blown away when he responded that he could rework our policy to keep our coverage the same with an even larger decrease than i even asked for. Our new cost is $150/mo less than the new amount I was concerned about and even $100/mo less than last year. Absolutely amazing customer service that went above and beyond what I expected. I couldn't imagine trying to shop for insurance on my own.

ProStar was amazing to work with. I’m very pleased with the quote they got me. They saved me money, and it is reassuring to know that they will check my policies every year to see if I can get a better rate. Everyone I dealt with at ProStar was super nice, informative, and knowledgeable.
