Extremely poor claims experience with Progressive due to the vehicle evaluation process and customer service. I changed claims representatives before my vehicle went into the shop, yet serious issues continued during the evaluation phase. The vehicle evaluator was unresponsive, and major decisions — including a total loss determination — were made without speaking to me or providing any explanation. Despite repeated calls, texts, and voicemails, communication was minimal to nonexistent. I was left to discover updates through the app while paying out of pocket for transportation. When I attempted to get information by calling Progressive’s 800 number, I was often met with pushback, dismissive attitudes, and resistance to answering basic questions. Never again in my life will I use progressive. This company IS NOT WORTH IT. I've had a tree limb fall on my car last month, AND NEVER DID THEY SEND AN ADJUSTER OUT. I had to get a supervisor to help me! Because the claims agent was going to put me through a 45 minute interview, after two weeks passed!!! No! I can't do that, when I recently started a new job, and I needed something done! I could not wait 2+ weeks for someone to come out. It's absolutely ridiculous. NOT ONLY THAT!!! BUT THEYRE CANCELING THE POLICY BC THEY ASSUME I WAS GIVING MISS INFORMATION!!!!
Worst experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company. Their customer was at fault and fought us at every turn. Took over two weeks to get an adjuster to go out to the shop for estimate. Took three weeks for them to approve a rental car even though our car was unsafe to drive. Had to fight to get them to approve an alignment even though the vehicle took a direct hit to the rear wheel. Every single step has been a fight. I wouldn’t have progressive insurance if they were giving it away what a nightmare this whole experience has been. If I could give zero stars I would.
Adverse experiences with Progressive Examples: 1. Multiple requests for lower rates, easily take an hour for a quote on the phone - Never really received better rate. 2. Poor customer service and multiple times of being transferred to wrong person or someone always trying to up sell one produce or another. 3. I was told after someone hit me and totaled my car that my rate would not go up...it did but the company denied that it was related to the car accident. 4. Attempting to cancel online, no email address only chat bot to transfer to rep, again more time spent waiting after again attempts to be re-sold on 'staying a customer." This company I had for a few or months they raised my insurance and said I gotta pay a renewal witch was double the already ridiculous over $800 a month for 2 cars with renters insurance i called and canceled asked if I owe any money I even double checked and asked more then once the person I talked to said no you dont owe anything so I moved on and went with another company then later I keep getting email saying I owe outstanding balance of over $800+ so I called to tell them they said no you owe i said not what I was told anyway over 2 hrs on the phone tranfer to this person that person asked even to go over the phone called where I was told I canceled early so I didn't owe they took there time didn't let me hear the recording but admitted they heard it and they made a mistake then go on
