Principal received a retirement rollover check on 10-21-25 and I have called them 10 times in the last month and a half to send check to me. The customer service reps sound sincere until you ask them to follow up with you and nothing happens. Lisa was a prime example since she “takes her job seriously “ and I hear nothing. Now the check was mailed on 11-24-25 and I should get in 3 to 5 business days. 🤔 I would look at these reviews and definitely consider another money manager company

After being in Corporate Finance Mgmt. 35+ years, I have several ESOP investment plans....Never had a problem with yearly disbursements on payouts EXCEPT with this company....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Reps & Mgmt staffing not properly trained....When I notified them in November of 2025 for my payout selection for this year 2026, SIX - that's right - Six employees (THREE MGRS) documented from the previous year (2024) notes & have been through a nightmare to try to get resolved. WHAT A HORRIBLE COMPANY to deal with. What a shame!!

Our son, for whom we have legal guardianship, has autism and an IQ under 70. He was somehow signed up for an account with this company through his job, without his consent, using contact information that is not his. We have been trying to fix this since 2023 and no one returns calls or emails. We are now hiring an attorney. This should never happen to a vulnerable adult who cannot legally understand or enter into something like this.

Name is Antonio’s Xenos , I had a LTD policy ( idi contract) w Principal Life. Put in a claim 2019. Given benefits for a condition from 2018-2021. Benefits were then suddenly takin away to PRESERVE THEIR PROFITS/SELF INTEREST based off their paid “ IN HOUSE Dr “ “EXPERT” opinion” DESPITTTEEE my doctors sayin to the CONTRARY that my disabling conditions persisted and persists. W THAT & CONTNUED EVIDENCE no reintroduction of benefits 5 years now leading to financial ruin & exasterbation of the original health issues NEVER cured of. Failure in honoring a contract has lead to my detriment. They have acted in bad faith on numerous occasions as well. Including LYING DURING DEPOSITION stating I lied on my initial contract Policy application to exclude smoking ( which I didn’t) , drinking ( w

One of the worst fund managers I’ve worked with. I was set up with principal through an employer-sponsored plan but that was the only convenient part about working with this group. Once I was off the employer plan, I was nickel and dimed for moving funds around and even penalized for sticking with principal as the fund manager for independent contributions! This isn’t even mentioning the poor performance of their products relative to competitors. You’re better off going with another organization.
