Pets Best Insurance

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company. The annual price increases are becoming completely unreasonable. As someone who works in the veterinary field, I fully understand that the cost of veterinary medicine is rising but it is not increasing at the same rate as the premium inflation I have experienced here. My rate should not be doubling year after year. It feels excessive and unjustified. (They wanted to increase my premium to $450/month for two 60lb dogs with no medical history prior to signing up with petsbest) I am also very dissatisfied with the claims process. Even for basic medication refills, refunds take an entire month to process. Waiting that long for such straightforward claims is unacceptable and adds unnecessary frustration to an already expensive servic

I have fetch for my other shepherd. Their customer is far better. Claim process far easier. Pets Best will eventually pay but takes upwards of 5 weeks. I have a dog that does PT for her knees and a TPLO surgery. I send doctors notes each time we purchase new sessions and they always act like they didn’t receive info and wait 3-4 weeks to ask for them again. Hence not paying for months. Their website and mobile app consistently does not work. Wait times are easily 30 mins for customer support. They do not cover any PRP or shockwave regardless of the medical benefits. They do not cover joint supplements or vitamins. Fetch covers all of that. Like I said they will pay eventually but I wish I had done more research before choosing them.

This company does not honor your loyalty. If it did I would give them 5 stars. I started a policy with Pet's Best a few years ago, and although they are great to use, their price has tripled! I started with a policy that was a $500 deductible and 80% reimbursement with no annual limit for $48.19/mo. In 2025 when my dog turned 7 years old it went up to $78.30/mo. (Understandable because that is a new age bracket for his breed.) Now this year I received a letter that it is going up to $134.43/mo!!! I ran another quote out of curiosity as if I were a new client and I was quoted a $250/yr. deductible, 90% reimbursement and no annual limit for only $113.17/mo! I was furious! I called and asked and all they can say is that it must have been a different underwriter and told me all about the none

I had no trouble making a claim in the past but already in Jan 2026 I had trouble submitting my claim. It took me 4 times trying to submit my claim. Then I would get emails stating my claim was incomplete. Finally I called and said what's going on? Agent said there's trouble with the website and its not receiving my downloads. So he said send it to their email address but it might take longer 6 to 8 weeks by the time they get the information to process. After a few weeks I called again, and I said since you are having trouble with getting my receipts in why dont you just call the vets office and gets that info needed? She said it takes too long for vets to respond so they rather not do it. Anyway they finally processed my claim but it took 7 weeks for something to happen. I would suggest

I loved Pet's Best at first, but in the last year I've been wishing I'd chosen a different company. The premiums continue to skyrocket while the reimbursements take longer and are less comprehensive. I've had many issues accessing the website to actually submit claims. I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth it anymore.
