People's Trust Insurance

My insurance went up very quickly and while searching for an affordable one I got an estimate. My house is only 5 years old and in great shape. They sent an inspector and my policy is lower than what I used to pay. Extremely satisfied. Hope I can stay with them for a long time.

Yes we purchased insurance coverage for our home got all the inspections done on our house before we purchased. After we closed on our house People Trust contacted us after our closing to perform a inspection which we thought should of been done before our closing. The inspector from there company comes out to perform another inspection of the house. Two days later we get an email stating they have cancelled our policy. We asked them the questions why didn't you come out before our closing and inspect the which they told us it was no past or fail just a maintenance check which they lied. I advise anyone stay clear of them. Very disappointed at this point.

We cancelled our People's Trust Homeowner's policy effective 8/22/25 & were told our prorated refund was mailed out on 9/11/25. We never received it. I was told when I called on 10/10/25 that they would stop payment on the check & issue a new check that day or the following business day. A week later when the check didn't come, I called again. Not only had they NOT issued a new check as I was promised, I was now told the original check had been returned to them as undeliverable by the post office. I find this impossible to believe as they had our correct address & I have no problem receiving all other mail. We finally received it the check on 10/25/25 after told them during multiple calls that I don't believe they ever mailed the refund check in the first place.

This insurance company is a scam. You should look for another insurance company asap if they are currently your insurance carrier. Not only did their workers cause more damage to my moms home, after she paid the deductible in full they have now threatened to place a lien on her house because they don’t want to pay their part to another vendor. All the money they did issue out was sent in little increments that then had to be forwarded to the payee. Money that she was supposed to receive as well was never paid out. If this company is ever recommended to you or you’re thinking about using them please don’t.

Having bought a wood frame home in FL, People's Trust Insurance was the only insurance company that would provide home insurance for about 1/2 - 1/3 of all the other companies I spoke to. They even sent out an inspector after my home purchase to evaluate my home, which reduced my premium by another $1k+. My interactions with everyone as of today have been professional and friendly, and it's super easy to use their website. We've had a great experience so far and are very happy!
