Guys here's some advice never travel across the border without Mexican insurance, you can purchase it just with a phone call, Oscar Padilla Mexican insurance, they've always been there for me,, reasonable daily rates,, just peace of mind,, Mexican authoritys it's just like here in the U.S,, you get stopped for what ever reason, they ask license registration and proof of insurance,,

I have used this Mexican insurance company for the last two decades. Their prices are reasonable, their website is very straightforward and usable and customer service is very good. I don't know about other Mexico insurance offerings, but I plan to continue with Oscar Padilla because I have confidence in this company and obtaining vehicle insurance is easy and seamless.

Great place to buy Mexican auto insurance I've been going to baja for 30 years and have purchased insurance from Oscar Padilla for most of that time. Good people,good service, however they are closed on sundays. Get your insurance early if your planning on traveling below the border on sundays.
