Like millions of Americans, I buy my own health insurance (aka "Obamacare"). For 2026, I chose a Network Health plan. Already, that's proving to be a giant mistake. On Feb. 19, 2026, I made an appointment at the Froedtert Health urgent care center in Oak Creek, Wis., just south of Milwaukee. (Froedtert Health owns Network Health). On the online form, I listed my symptoms: dizziness; tingling sensations in both arms; and chest tightness. I arrived early for my appointment. But upon my arrival, the UCC clerk indicated that the UCC would not see me -- for reasons unclear to me. She directed me to the adjacent Froedtert hospital ER, down the hall. So, I walked down the hall. I clearly and calmly explained my symptoms to the ER clerk. Unmoved, she indicated that it would be at least a three

Absolutely DO NOT use this insurance company if you ever need to talk to your Doctor about preventative care, like making a game plan on losing weight or options. If for any reason you visit a your doctor to talk about your weight, they will NOT pay one cent of the visit. It will void the whole thing. For some insane reason, they want a bunch of obese people on their plan. I guess they like paying for things like diabetes, high blood pressure and congestive heart problems. This will cost them a lot more money in the long run versus a conversation with a primary care physician. Have have fun paying those bills.

This company is awful. Their customer service is a joke, they tout they are local but cannot pronounce the name of cities (it’s cause they contract with third party call centers who know very little about WI). Their “Say Cheese” Dental plan is junk, should have stayed with a known company like when they had Delta Dental, but I’m sure Delta cost them too much and they wanted to keep the profits in house. The dental Office I use said half the Say Cheese Network subscribers (including myself) didn’t get dental cards so you have to call customer care and request them-shouldn’t they just be automatic they send them? Then their app never recognizes my phone even after saying “remember log in for 30 days” so it’s constantly sending me a new code to type in. If Network cannot even do the basics w

Excellent support, along with a nice variety of Medicare Advantage plans to choose from. It was great to be able to stop into an office and get questions answered face to face. Highly recommend Network Health if it is an option for your area.

The worst insurance plan ever. My work bought the cheapest plan for their employees and it doesn’t cover anything at all. I tried to get out of it, and was told the only way I can is if I quit my job. I have a chronic illness and meds aren’t covered, therapies aren’t covered. It’s costing me over 1k a month for meds and the premium because they won’t cover the meds so why do I even have insurance? I’m supposed to have a care manager, can’t get a hold of anyone and they keep hanging up. You call with a question and they just give you the runaround and then hang up. They didn’t give us our cards until after the first of the year so no way of looking at benefits to see is or in my case isn’t covered because no way of logging on with no member ID.
