Eric at Midwest MediGap was very helpful. I was in the situation where I was over 65 and still on my employees insurance policy. However over the course of a few months of work at my employers, my final retirement departure date was very fluid and with only a weeks notice I was informed I would be laid of 3 months prior to my planned retirement date. Luckily Eric and I had been talking about the date and once the early departure date came into effect, Eric was quickly able to assist and make sure that my Medicare stared with no lapse in coverage. He assisted on Medicare Part B, Part C and also Part D. I plan on working them late this year to do update as well as have him work with my wife when she turns medicare eligible in early 2027.

I have spoken with many agents since I was notified in November that UCare was going to cancel my Advantage plan. Melissa from Midwest Medigap was a godsend in educating me in my efforts to acquire a suitable replacement plan. In the last several weeks of researching I was unable to find a plan where I could keep my existing doctors. I've been getting hampered with ads, trying to get me to make a claim with V A because I'm a veteran, and my car insurance agent telling me that he can get me a discount if I go through him, and random text saying,"Wow, you're turning 65, let's get you set up with Medicare. If you don't sign up for this or that before your birthday you'll have to pay a late fee the rest of your life. So I finally went to a webinar called Medicare 101 by Matt Mitchell. In it, he explained when to start and how to keep from overpaying. Further, no matter what representative you go through the cost is the same.
