Farmers loves Pitties! In 2019 my house burned down, when Progressive (the insurance I had at the time) learned I had "5 Pitbulls" living in my residence, they canceled me. Apparently Progressive is not a fan of the Pitties. I actually had 3 pitties, 1 Shepherd, 1 Labradork, 1 Husky Mix. I rescue, rehab and train dogs. A woman at my old insurance recommended I contact Mary Jane Lake at Farmers Insurance. Shonna was so very helpful! I now have Farmers for home and auto insurance. Farmers love Pitties! Extremely expensive, Rates go up every 6 months for Auto’s I have a perfect Driving record, My Home insurance policy with 0 claims went up over $900.00 The Office Staff is not Helpful at all they just push you to contact the corporate office for any issues other then collecting your insurance policy premiums. I been with Framers now for 6 years since we moved here I’m one that doesn’t like to keep changing things, But I’m DONE FARMERS. I see that you responded to my review, 1: if your office staff was more helpful than pushing me to corporate, I wouldn’t have been rude. 2: I went to another large insurance company and saved over $1,300 dollars per year and received more coverage. 3: You can try to sugarcoat all you want, but the truth is the truth.

My husband and I have had homeowners' insurance and car insurance through Mary Jane Lake's office for 22 years. She and the rest of the staff are always very responsive, helpful, and supportive. The reason I didn't award five stars has nothing to do with the service, and everything to do with Farmers. We've carried car insurance through Farmers -- first in Oregon and now in Nevada -- for a more than 30 years (probably close to 34). We're retired, in our mid-60s, and are excellent drivers. I've never had a moving violation (just a ticket for expired tags back in 1988). I can't even remember the last time we actually filed a claim. Yet, our costs keep going up and up. We've been offered the opportunity to terminate our policy and have them rewrite a new one at the rates offered to newcomers.

Very responsive agency for auto, home and personal liability insurance. They are on top of it.
