I usually don't take the time to post reviews, but felt compelled to share my experience for those considering doing business with this agency. Was with them for several years, as my wife had handled our home & auto coverage. I decided to shop rates recently to find them grossly overpriced for apples to apples coverage with a reputable competitor. Once I decided to cancel coverage with Citizen's, I was treated like a 3rd class customer, made to feel ignorant for switching, and any level of previous appreciation for doing business with them for several years was abruptly discontinued by their agent. Mind you, we were still being charged for boat coverage my wife had cancelled verbally nearly a year prior, which was even more disheartening. My suggestion, buyer beware...their true colors wer

NEGATIVE 5 STARS! THIS COMPANY HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, STAFF IS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I ASKED FOR A MANAGER SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS TOLD THE MANAGER IS NOT IN!!! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! AGENTS NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES! I’VE BEEN TRYING TO ADD A VAN TO THE COMPANY ACCOUNT FOR OVER A WEEK!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have been with this agency for years and I am totally done with them. This last year there has been absolutely no customer service. I found a new agent who lowered my insurance by $200 a month and now I can't get in touch with anyone to cancel my old insurance. DO NOT USE THIS AGENT!!! Response to Lakeside: When I asked her to review my account and see if she could find a lower rate she told me she was too busy and that they don't do that anymore. She was rude and off putting. I've had good agents there but this last one was the worst I've experienced in my lifetime.

Staff is not very good at listening. I bought a new vehicle and they never cancelled my policy on my previous vehicle which I no longer own. Even after calling them at the dealer to switch everything over and then telling me I’m all set, I was still getting charged for that vehicle on top of my new vehicle. I called them asking what is going on and she let me know they never cancelled my policy for that previous vehicle. I asked if they could please refund me because that should’ve never have happened. Even after talking to multiple agents and confirming that the policy was canceled and they all told me the same thing in there words “you’re all set!” The lady on the phone at first sounded like I was making this all up. All she said was she can refund me my full amount but it will take 5-1
