They were able to find a broker to write a policy after my home insurance was not renewed. I needed coverage for one month until the house sold. I inquired about early cancellation and told no problem, just prorated. Surprise, 1/3 of my premium was keep for the one month. When I asked why so much, now there are cancellation fees along with prorated. I have never used a loan shark, but I guess you have to pay to play.
