Quoted us to renew, we declined because we were going to shop around for better price. Found another company, went with another company......to later find out that Heimer billed our Mortgage company and started a whole new policy without our approval. Was definitely a huuuuge headache for us to fix all this. Heimer did reimburse us for the money they got from the Mortgage Company. I had to drive to their office to get a response because no one would answer the phone. I walk in and they had a whole office full of people. 🤯 I just can't believe these companies are able to get away with this stuff.

I received a notice that my Progressive home owners insurance, I get through Heimer's, was being cancelled due to the fire hazard at the home's location. I don't understand why that would happen as we are within a city and have no flammable materials, like dry grass or forest by us. The new motto in our area is "defensible area" which we have. We also have a fire hydrant in front of our house for quick and efficient response in case of a fire. I have left 5 messages with Heimer Insurance to discuss the issue and try to find another insurance policy for our home. I have not had a single reply from Heimer's. Given this lack of service, I have moved on to find a different insurance underwriter.

I insured two investment properties through them. The rates were twice that of Allstate or Safeco. As I am trying to switch, the agent, A.P., is making it harder for me to switch to another company, by refusing to cancel pending proof of policy from the new carrier. Heimer is just an agent, they have no requirement or authority to ask me for my new policy before canceling their policy.

They had a address change never informed my mortgage company of the change. A payment was sent to the wrong address, Heimer never followed up with the mortgage company for a payment / final noticed nor contact me, the policy was dropped. Sad part neither company tried to contact one another nor me regarding the matter, just let me think the payment was made which is apart of my mortgage payment and everything was fine. I've been calling 2 days straight various times during their work hours no one answers, Ieft messages no one returns calls.. nor followup including emails. Something is wrong!!! Are they still in business this is the question.
