Healthfirst

I’ve had nothing but (mostly) good experiences using healthfirst for the last two years. There are a plethora of good doctors that accept it and they cover a plethora of services- plus no referrals for specialists which is a bonus. But I’m mostly writing this review because of our current broker, Maria Prudencio. My partner and I had odd situations when it came time to renew and online services made things confusing- but when we went in Maria made things easy, she advocated for us successfully and gave us the best plans possible- all with a smile on her face. Definitely recommend asking for her when you go in- she’s a sweetheart who definitely knows what she’s doing and has you in mind.

Expensive and they don't cover anything. Not even sure its worth having insurance. Be prepared to have bills keep rolling in for copays, payments towards deductibles, and balances they chose not to pay, so that you have to battle with them for coverage. Doctors should be making decisions as to what a patient needs - not greedy insurance companies.

Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Would rather go the rest of my life uninsured then to use them ever again. They decided to drop my coverage and back date it several months and now I am getting all sorts of doctor bills claiming I was uninsured. When you try to call, they just pass you around from person to person. I have bank statements showing I never missed a single payment. Sent all my proof to "upper management" and they just give me a different number to try to call. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Have been sending follow up emails that go unanswered for months. Terrible customer service. Terrible insurance plan. If I could give then 0 stars I would. Save yourselves money and just self pay at an urgent care facility when you get sick.

Mediocre provider with less than average customer service.

I got a call from the hospital yesterday about they didn't receive payment from my insurance company so I call them and they tell me my plan doesn't cover being in the hospital or surgery's now I'm going to have to pay this hospital bill and I'm living week by week don't use this insurance company they tell you that you are covered then you pay them but your not be aware
