Geisinger Health Plan

Denied any help with Wegovy for heart disease because now a weight lose drug. Doctor prescribed due to heart disease, BMI over 40, Sleep Apnea and quadruple by pass surgery at age 42 and family history of heart attacks but denied because do not have diabetes. Flawed system and no one to even listen to how the decision makes no sense. Would rather pay for a $75,000.00 heart Cath than help pay for drugs to avoid it. Stupid

Worse i in Philadelphia and i pay74$ a month for premium they have bad customer service half of the time the information you get from them is not right THIS COMPANY NEED TO DO BETTER

Turned off my children's health insurance without any notice. Was on this insurance through CHIP for a year with no monthly premiums. Apparently, they changed that a couple of months ago to $69 a month. Got nothing in the mail. Or no phone call. And because I didn't pay for two months they shut us off. Run as far as you can from this company. How can you turn off a child's health insurance without even giving the parents a call or heads up first!? Absolutely asinine.

I recently moved to the Pittsburgh area and this was the most highly rated insurance that I could afford. I've not had any interactions with their doctors yet, but their customer care team that answers calls are amazing. I never have to wait more than a few minutes to speak to someone and they're always willing to do whatever they can to get me the answers I need. They're also very friendly. Thank you!!!

Had severe vision issues due to a rapidly forming cataract, almost got in a few car accidents because I was partially blind, GREAT difficulty trying to work. Could not get an appointment, 3 months out and still no appointments available, dont call us, we will call you. Called GHP asking for a waiver to go to North East Eyecare since they could see me and perform procedures within two weeks and was told it would cost the same as going to Geisinger. Asked twice, was told the same. Weeks later was charged and additional $680+ because Geisinger refused to cover all the cost like they promised to me. VERY shady business practices by GHP, buyer beware. Called to dispute, they didn't care, they told me no and file a grievance if I did not like the outcome. WOW!
