Federated Insurance Companies

They don’t deserve any stars. They don’t deserve to have an operating business. These people defamed me to the company I have worked with for months and the career I’ve had for 13 years because they said I couldn’t be covered under their insurance. I’m a 40 year old veteran with a perfect driving record. This is a joke. So now I can’t put food on the table for my family and what’s worse is when I called in Bri and Ana laughed at me and hung up on me multiple times. They refused to tell me the reason I was unable to be insured and refused to give me the CEO’s contact info. This isn’t the first time one of these consumer reports came back wrong for me and the last one got sued for defamation. This insurance “company” is not to be trusted by anyone and their customer service is terrible.

We have been waiting over a year for our claim to be processed for a wrecked van. Do not use this company. They are terrible to deal with. Extremely expensive. With no communication. In my opinion, they are intentionally avoiding a payout.

I’m only giving one star bc I can’t give 0 stars. I am a customer of a plumbing company who is insured with Federated. The plumbing company flooded my home. They passed me off to this insurance company to get my a settlement for all of the damage done. Let me tell you that it’s been hell for 3 months trying to get all of the work that needs to be accounted for included. They didn’t even send a claims adjuster to my home for a month, and only after my request bc they were trying to just give me money for the water mitigation bill and a random floor replacement quote the plumbers got. All of the floors in my home and baseboards have to be replaced and that quote only included one room and some carpet pad. They do not respond timely to phone calls or emails. What a P.O.S. Company. One of their insureds failed to yield the right of way as I was entering an intersection and cut me off, Causing over $11,000 in damage to my new Van with less than 13,000 miles. First of all, they wrote an estimate for ~$7,000 using aftermarket parts, not OEM parts, that would have voided much of my warranty Second, then their adjuster says to me that the car is repairable and there is no Diminishment in the Value of the vehicle. Third, Their adjuster tells me they have a rental van arranged for me. I drive back to my shop just to find out there is no van for me to pick up at the Rental company. Total time waisted, 2 hours

Went to Federate Insurance HQ in Minnesota for risk management training. Absolutely highly recommend if you’re a business owner. Information overload.
