Farmers Insurance - Dustin Blackwell

We have our policies with Dustin for Home and Car. He gave well explained pricing that met or beat any other quotes I received. The coverages for Home insurance was better than the other company that quoted with a higher rate and lower coverage.

I have been with Farmers for several years. Response has always been prompt. Dustin is always on top of any concerns that I have. Dustin and Lynn are always pleasant and ready to help either by phone or email!

Update Since my poor review I have upgraded from one star to 3 star. For the past few weeks Dustin has personally managed our needs . I m happy to say he has made the necessary adjustments to customer service that was problematic. Previous review Terrible customer service. My husband left 4 messages in 4 weeks and still did not receive a response from our agent Dustin . He does not answer his phone or return phone calls . Went directly to his office today and his front desk was in a personal call , Dustin was not in the office and unavailable. I requested a copy of our insurance card and was told they do not have a printer !!!!! The woman said she would email one today . Of course that was not even accomplished. Very disappointing and frustrating to be treated with such disregard .

My previous agent with Farmers Insurance left the company, so my policies were transferred to Mr. Blackwell. When it was time for renewal, I contacted Mr. Blackwell to inquire about the reasons for the premium increases, changes in deductible, and other related questions. I made it clear that I preferred to communicate via email. Despite this, Mr. Blackwell called me instead, and even after I reiterated my preference for email communication, he has yet to respond to my email after eight days. As a result, I have decided to seek insurance services from different agents. Mr. Blackwell is not prioritizing the needs of policyholders, so I recommend looking for other agents to meet your insurance needs.

We've been customers for about 3 years. This office is the worst when it comes to following up with their policy holders. It's even worse attempting to call them. Only until this year, I realized that if something needed to be done or an explanation of increases. It needed to be done via the regular farmers' insurance customer service. I even tried reaching out via email. I guess they don't respond there either. We finally decided to switch. Got two quotes, one with AllState and the other with State Farm. State Farm gave the best quote, so one final time, hopefully, we've called the general customer service line and wrapped up our home & auto policies. The original cancelation was set at the beginning of the month. Still no response. Thank goodness for the general customer service line
