Erie and Niagara Insurance Association

They wrote my policy KNOWING we had an old wisteria along the roofline that needed to come down and that we were in the process of having that removed and the roof done. I just got a cancellation notice from them for a vine on my roof. Apparently they did their inspection before the wisteria was removed instead of waiting less than a week until it was removed. There's no contact number on their correspondence except for the agents number, and they were less than helpful. I don't recommend doing business with this company.

I've had them for four years never had filed a claim had trees break,well pump go up appliances go up never filed a claim. Until this year. June 16th 2022 at 2 am my house caught fire and burnt. Pretty much a total loss. ,10 foot hole in roof bout a foot of water threw the house to get the fire pit out had to punch a hole in floor to drain water out. Insurance adjuster was there a that day so over the weekend didn't hear nothing. Slept in my garage for 9 days before they sent any money for living quarters. Haven't herd from them since. I should of looked up the reviews on this waste of insurance company. It's August 4 and still have not herd a word from the adjuster or my local broker. This insurance or agent change my policy with out letting me know in the 1st I asked for full coverage if anything happened to my house they insured and after they changed in basic over with out letting me know when my garage clips this year from the snow I made claim and they told me that I have only basic over I did know and now i will fight with them with the lawyer and thank god I have all information from beginning when I star insurance with them they don’t have anything to change my policy to say o something it was bad on you house that why we didn’t cover only on 1st they ask me to put railings on my stairs and I did everything else in very good condition my garage is concrete to the house and my insurance cost me a year $3000

I was with Erie Insurance for over 3 years, and they suddenly canceled my policy without any notice. After being a loyal customer, I expected better communication and respect. Instead, I was left without coverage and had to scramble to find a new company. Very disappointed with how they treated me, and I would not recommend Erie Insurance to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy service.
