Dixon Illinois Secretary of State Facility

I came in on 6/4/25 the worker Shawn was the person who took care of me, he did a phenomenal job. The DMV was packed full of people and they were closing very soon, he was able to help me get in and out all while being so friendly & personable despite the chaotic environment! He really deserves acknowledgment for his great customer service!

For all the jokes that are made about the DMV, and some DMV's are deserving of them, this place isn't one of them. It has to be THE BEST DMV in the state. People are kind, understanding and knowledgeable. And service is fast!

I renewed my Driver's License and went through the required exams. The system went down & I had to wait for about 20 minutes until it came back up & I could finish. My Vehicle Registration was expired & the Staff person didn't catch it, and I was unaware it had expired because I'd never gotten a notice!! Days later, I was pulled over by a Dixon Police Officer who gave me a written warning. I told him I would trnee it, and I did that same day! So glad to be done with all of this!

They made it so ridiculously hard for me to get a new I.d. I went down 3 times to this building and they told me I needed a bunch of things when I didn’t . Had to go to the sterling office just to get an I.d because these people obviously don’t know what they’re doing smh🤦🏻‍♀️

Incredible! The Dixon DMV facility just set a new standard for DMV excellence! Every other DMV facility needs to strive to be like those in Dixon. Everyone at the Dixon facility was kind, friendly, helpful (to customers and each other), and efficient. @Alexi Giannoulias - you should visit this site and have the Dixon team lead performance improvement at all other DMV sites.
