I’ve had nothing but great experiences working with Deseret Insurance Agency over the past several years. When I had to file a claim, they made the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. They consistently shop around to find me the best deals and are always proactive and communicative throughout. When I first switched, they found me better coverage and saved me several hundred dollars—and even handled cancelling my old policy so I didn’t have to deal with that awkward conversation. At my most recent renewal, they shopped again and were able to save me even more, which is a big help with how everything seems to be getting more expensive. Highly recommend!

I’ve been with Lynn Bascom at Deseret Insurance for about twenty years. He is independent and has helped me cover auto, home, motorcycle, boat and renters insurance with multiple insurance companies. He has held our hand through a massive flooding event in our home and a few serious auto claims. I have felt like he works for me more than he works for any individual insurance company over the years. If I have a question about making a claim, I have no hesitation to call him and he will walk me through the ramifications of making that claim to help me make the best long term decisions regarding maintaining coverage and getting stuff covered. Give him a call, you won’t regret it.

I have called them to get quotes and have even filled in their quote request forms on the web multiple times, and they have NEVER returned my call. If they treat potential customers like this, would they treat actual customers the same? UPDATE 4/16/2025: In reply to Deseret's response. I have since connected with Deseret BY PHONE in mid-March and talked to an employee who said the insurance agent would contact me within one business day. That call never came! Of the three times I have tried contacting Deseret, two of the connections have been by phone with a promised callback that never came. I would not recommend doing business with them because the insurance agents appear to not really value acquiring new customers.

The insurance provider promptly paid us fair market value, and Lynn looked after both our financial interests and insurance needs to our complete satisfaction. I have now been a client of Lynn Bascom's for decades because of the outstanding quality of the personal service and the valuable professional relationship that he pro-actively cultivates. I do not recommend making a move to buy or insure any vehicle without first consulting with Lynn!
