I’ve been with The Co-operators for 3 years, and this was the first time I didn’t have enough money in my account because I forgot that I added a person to my insurance. They charged me around $50 for a “Not Sufficient Funds” fee. I politely asked them to waive it since it was my first time, but they refused, saying it was a transaction cost. Firstly, there’s no way a transaction costs $50. Secondly, this experience really damaged my trust in the company. Finally, I’m now considering switching to a different insurance provider. Now, you have another bad review and loosing 2 clients. Great job.

This office has completely obliterated my insurance record. Following an at-fault accident I was dropped as a client after making a claim. The reasoning they provided was “underwriting” due to the charge I had on my record. I called to explain that the charge would likely be dropped following a court date that was *two days* after my insurance was set to expire but they were completely unwilling to help even after being with this company for 5 years; the entire time I’ve owned a vehicle. I fully believe that after paying me out for my car, they did not want to have to honour first accident forgiveness. Now that I have been dropped from an insurance company and have a claim on my record, I pay nearly $150 more a month despite the one charge on my record being minor. I would not have this is

There is a lot of truth to only knowing how good or BAD your insurance provider is and that's once you've had to make a claim. Choose someone else!! 7-8 days wait to reply to EACH email is pretty lousy, especially having been a customer nearing 15yrs and this being our first claim. VERY disappointing

I have been a customer of the Co-operators for 7 years and currently live in Barrie ON. Five years ago I was in Niagara Falls for a short while and in that time I met Katy and the Giancola team and switched agencies. Never have I ever received better customer service, assistance with choosing insurance products (that suit my needs) and compassion from Katy and her associates. In fact, their level of professionalism, fast action and concern for covering my needs is what made me stay their loyal client even after returning to Barrie. After a recent experience that was handled by Katy and the Giancola team perfectly, I thought it was about time to leave a 5 star review.

I used to be with cooperators because I was always told they are the best. Ever since Tony hasn't been around this location its an absolute mess. Very poor customer service. They will treat you like you're nothing but their pay check. They have zero respect for clients and if you'd like a response in time about anything give it a week or more because thats when you'll get a response. Oh and to add salt to the wounds they will lie to you just to make you happy I was lied to multiple times about many things just so they could take more money from me. Im glad I left cooperators.
