I’ve heard so many horror stories about home insurance claims, and since this was my first time ever making a claim and my first experience with home insurance, I was honestly scared and overwhelmed. But with CIG, my experience was completely different. I had to submit two claims almost at the same time, and from the very beginning my adjuster, Charlie, showed nothing but kindness, patience, and genuine care. He was always quick to respond, willing to explain everything, and truly understood how stressful this situation was for my family. This experience, for a simple repair, was horrible. The claims agent, Eric Reilly, was extremely difficult to get ahold of and was unhelpful when I did reach him. When he took off of work, no one covered his phones or emails. I still have not received a check. I was required to send picture of my registration and my odometer. I have never had a claim, so maybe this kink of service is normal. It would have been much faster to have someone go to the body shop. I am lucky the damage was cosmetic and my car is drivable, or this would have been ten times worse. This process should have taken a couple of days at most. Instead, it has been over a month and it’s still not resolved. This isn’t the only issue I have had with CIG. updated my annual mileage and primary drivers was a nightmare as well

We had a accident that was caused by a CIG sponsored driver. Working with Eric Riley ,( CIG agent), was like a well oiled machine getting it resolved. We were very happy with Mr Riley.

We discovered a long crack in our windshield and contacted our agent from Capital Insurance Group (CIG). She immediately contacted the claims adjuster who took a few particulars about the incident and then set up an appointment with Safelite Glass to replace the windshield. Over and done! Thanks, CIG!

We had just switched to CIG after a long relationship with another insurance carrier. Six months into our new insurance policy, we had a water main break under our building, Robert was the adjustor assigned to our claim. He educated me on the process, provided a list of the information he needed, and walked me through the entire process. A small portion of the cost of all of the damage was not covered, and he carefully explained in advance why that was. It felt like I was working with a teammate throughout the entire process; I am grateful for all of his help, and would recommend CIG to any of my colleagues in the future.
