Have had Canopy for 2 years but now they no longer work with John Muir. That means to keep JM I need a new plan so I can still access UCSF for special care. This requires a Medicare supplement plan. To qualify I need documents to show my providers are no longer available in network. Canopy will not assist in providing that paperwork. My only recourse now is to lose my specialist care at UCSF and hope to find internal care at John Muir, in network. I will never recommend Canopy to anyone. Also there is no way to reach anyone at Canopy. They are all United Healthcare employees stating they are Canopy. A real scam in my opinion.

Since 2024 CANOPY is the worst UHC has provided me with. John Muir doctors will no longer see any of Canopy patients. The two doctors with Canopy are with Jiva Health are Dr Sein and Dr MacDannald. Terrible doctors as never return phone calls. You have to deal with answering service only.

It is impossible for a member to get through to a live agent from the telephone numbers listed on insurance card. After receiving a bill from my hospital, I am trying to obtain and Explanation of Benefits. I first called the number on the card for "Canopy/Hills Physician" and reached HillsPhysician. The kind agent gave me a number for Canopy, assuring me that I would reach a live agent if I followed the prompts. I called the number and of course started with an automated system with no option for a live agent. Following all the prompts for members, I was routed to HealthNet. HealthNet does not have the claim on file because Canopy processed it. HealthNet's agent is now on hold with Canopy to figure out why I'm being billed $1000 instead of what we think should not be more than $250 (li

I think they are basically committing a form of fraud, and making access to health care more difficult than I've ever experienced.
