I had a terrible experience with Brown & Brown. They cold called me about homeowners insurance and I decided to give them a chance. For three days I went back and forth with the agent, answering questions and reviewing details. At the very last second, right before I was ready to finalize, he suddenly told me they would not insure my home unless I also allowed them to take over my auto insurance. This was never mentioned up front and only came out after I had already invested a lot of time. The tactic felt manipulative and predatory, showing zero consideration for my time. It was clear the real goal was to get control of my auto policy just to make more money, even though I am completely content keeping my auto coverage separate. At the beginning, everything sounded promising. But once we got into the actual details, it became an absolute nightmare. We requested an umbrella policy four times through two different agents. Only after we were completely exhausted from following up and dealing with this unreliable company did they finally issue the policy — and even then, it was too late to feel like a win. The cancellation process was equally frustrating. It took me about a week of persistent calls and emails before someone finally processed the cancellation of our policies. And now, over a month later, I’ve received yet another letter stating that our premium is past due, for policies that were supposed to be canceled. Frankly, I have no understanding of how Brown & Brown is allowed to handle any insurance service

We use Brown & Brown for our business and personal insurance. From past experience with other companies, there is not a comparison in knowledge of products and willingness to push the carriers for the best rates. Everybody in the office has been great, from the top down. Not going anywhere else!
