I am a quadriplegic with no use of hands and 90% of my body. Blue Cross Blue Shield denied me all my physical therapy visits and said I was a perfectly physically disabled body person. Along with you paying them thousands of dollars a month they also managed to scam me out of the purchase of my new wheelchair which resulted in me having to spend an extra $5000 to get my medical devices that I need for every day living. This company was rude, and lacked the common decency customer service requires. My sister called the insurance company for a question on their coverage. The insurance company had covered her daughter's visits to the nutritionist but not hers. My sister called to ask why. The customers service lady told her that tge reason she doesn't get coverage on the nutritionist was because she was "morbidly obese". The customers service gal actually said that over the phone. And not with any kindness or decency. She was rude and short with us. I called to get quotes on how much it would be to have just my daughter and her dad put on medical insurance and they were throwing me prices between $250-$400. The guy, I think his name was mike or mark or something was very pushy about getting me to enroll RIGHT now, asking me if I have my debit card ready. I told him I was only calling for prices and I wasn’t jumping the gun on purchasing right away.
