I’ve been with BCBSM for a few years. I wanted to switch to an On Marketplace plan during open enrollment. Ithe process was to submit an application via HealthSherpa. The sales person I worked with was completely ignorant of the process to move from off mkt plan to on mkt plan. She took my application and gave me wrong instructions on how to pay. I submitted the payment per her instructions and received confirmation. But my card was not charged. I was told to pay again. But BCBSM customer svc said I had to pay them directly through the BCbSM policy holder website (since I was moving from their off mkt plan to same plan on mkt). either way there was no way to execute another payment because there was no electronic invoice. Your polices and setup of the website is deliberately designed to limit our access to medical / prescription care. BCBSBCN told us to go to your preferred pharmacy. BCBSBCN told us that our treatment is authorized. Now when I use the reimbursement form it says I am not eligible. When I try to call it says your call center is closed. When I try to send a message it says I am not even eligible to send a message under this plan. What hope is there for your subscribers and why are you deliberately making it so difficult despite prior authorizations and empty instructions from your staff?

It's very unfortunate that a medical provider covers impotency drugs but will not cover contraceptives, seems like a conflict of interest to me, and I can't wrap my head around that one

VERY poorly trained customer service representatives. I had two different agents from BCBS tell me that I would get a reimbursement check because COVID medical costs are covered 100%. I was told that they would mail my check the same day I was on the phone with them and they issued me a reference ID connected to the reimbursement. One month later the check still did not arrive and I heard nothing from BCBS so I called BCBS again and now they tell me they decided I am not to be reimbursed and the billing was correct. So when BCBS tells the customer they are going to take care of something, apparently there word means nothing and if they change their minds, after making a comment, they don’t even bother to tell the customer the direction had changed. I’m on my wife’s plan through her employer. Despite paying premiums for MONTHS, I STILL don’t have medical coverage. I’ve been on the phones with them multiple times, they say the error is on the side of my wife’s HR department. They’ve looked their side over and see no issues. I’ve missed a month of therapy and I’m out of some of my medications. But you still have our money. On top of that, your call center is just randomly closed today. I hope I get ahold of someone soon because I’m about to just call an attorney.
