Bill Bergner - State Farm Insurance Agent

I have worked with Bill for 10 years, since moving to New Canaan. He provides and manages all of my property, auto, and business insurance policies. He and his colleagues are always professional, efficient, friendly, and have a high level of expertise in their field. Bill goes above and beyond in helping his clients. He is easy to reach, and in the rare event that he doesn’t pick up the phone, he returns calls very promptly. He also knows New Canaan and surrounding towns well, and provides a great introduction to those new to town and is knowledgeable about local providers of other service businesses. I wholeheartedly recommend Bill and his office.

Bill and his State Farm team have taken great care of my family over the years. We have had home, auto, and business with them. They are wonderful at responding quickly to my questions. I highly recommend them to help you provide your family with the coverage to keep you safe.

We have been with Bill and his team in New Canaan for 17 years for all of our insurance needs. They have helped us through some tricky situations and worked on our behalf on several issues. When you have a problem the are accessible at night and weekends. Overall we have had a great experience.

I have used this agency’s services for my autos, business and other insurance needs. They have been so responsive and helpful. When our son totaled our car, Bill, Doug and the State Farm team kept us informed and promptly paid our claim. We felt comforted to have their assistance in a time of need.

If I could leave a zero I would. We had three policies with Bill, one which State Farm did not renew (completely understandable). However, we never received any notice of such (CT does not require certified mail), until my wife was in an accident. To be fair, CT law does not require an agent to notify you either. However, if you are going to use an agent and pay them a fee, you would hope they would let you know if there was an issue with your policy, especially if they had two others with them. Bill did not contact us, and when I called him to ask why there was no coverage he could not have been any less sympathetic. He said he may have tried to reach us, but could't remember, as he had been very busy with family issues.
