Auto-Owners Insurance West Des Moines Regional Office

I dont usually give reviews but, after reading most the comments on here I would agree this company is not very attentive in the claims deptartment. I was in a auto accident by one of their customers and my car is totaled, totally not my fault per the police report. This happened on 11/11/2025, to this day we are still not coming to terms on a low valued auto, they are expexting me to do their job after sending them several comparable vehicle's to what I had. I don't feel I should have to pay out of pocket for a like, kind and quality vehicle to mine. Had I known this would have taken so long I should have a rental vehicle (which I'm entitled to), being the nice guy I am I tried to save money for all involved. Do not use this company. They will try to screw you over on your claim. Auto-Owners is an terrible company. They are awful to deal with. I was in an accident were the other party was fully liable. Auto-Owners would only pay me 32k for my truck that was completely totaled, when i would need to spend at least 37k to replace it. after months of back and forth with a unresponsive jerk of an adjuster. I had to go through my own insurance. After one week. Progressive processed my claim and offer the real value of 37k immediately. DO NOT use Auto-Owners they will try and screw you over if you ever need to make a claim.

The agent (Adam) with Auto Owners was great to deal with on my damaged vehicle claim. He was very timely on communication and very easy to work with. Appreciated the customer focus.

After a catastrophic hail storm they were prompt with getting the adjuster here, prompt on getting us taken care of. Very good at explaining things too. After speaking to others who had different insurance, we were very happy we had Auto-Owners!

Tammy has been phenomenal throughout the process of getting my vehicle repaired. Shes knowledgeable, friendly and detailed oriented in giving me pertinent information. Tammy has made this unfortunate event easy to navigate and made this experience manageable. Very impressed with her and auto owners for the timely response to my circumstances.
