Deserves zero stars. There’s too much to summarize honestly but the long and short of it is I got rear ended by one of their clients. They hit me so hard it accordianed my trunk area and destroyed my muffler. Now I’m being told that the muffler is a betterment and they’re covering 80%. My car was two years old with 60k miles on it. The agent, Stephon, actually tried to tell me “you would’ve had to replace the muffler soon anyway.” Who is going around replacing mufflers? Absurd. Been asking for a call from the supervisor for weeks. No one is calling me back.
Horrible experience. The insured driver from Arbella was determined at fault and I’m left without a working vehicle that is not drivable through absolutely no fault of my own. Every reputable repair shop I contact has a somewhat lengthy wait until early-mid February. I need to transport myself to and from work and transport my 4 year old son to numerous appointments and to and from school but the claims adjuster Shayla and her manager are utterly refusing to cover the rental until the time my car goes into the shop in an effort to save their insured from incurring more of a surcharge and most importantly, force me to utilize their referral shops that do subpar repairs and give discounts to the insurance company, something I told them I didn’t want to do, as it is my right to have my vehicl
I am currently in the process of trying to settle a claim with Arbella. The Arbella insured driver was at fault. Accident happened on 9/3, and I have yet to be personally contacted by the adjuster as of 9/17. I needed a rental car due to a loss of use of the car involved. No response to email. Phone is not an option for me during normal hours. Insurance companies should understand that everyone is a potential customer. I will not consider Arbella for any insurance needs. 9/17: Shortly after threatening to involve an attorney, adjuster responded to my email. Told by adjuster to call him, even after telling him phone is not an option. He then said he will "draft an email" with what he needs from me, nothing received almost 24 hours later. I would give 1 star, it's only 2 because of the representative that helped me (I believe her name was Gabrielle) with my auto policy. Gabrielle was great and extremely helpful HOWEVER Arbella canceled my policy because I paid TWO days late (not 2 weeks or 2 months) the transaction was pending the day BEFORE they cancelled my policy. Listen I understand I paid late but why isn't there a system so supervisors can override and reinstate your policy once it's paid in full? I provided them with screenshots of my bank statement to prove it & they still wouldn't reactivate my policy. Jokes on them because I switched companies. SAFETY INSURANCE IS MY NEW COMPANY. The 1 star rating is mostly for the Total Loss Department. Please do not get insured through Arbella for your auto vehicle as they will not communicate with you in a timely manner, they will not update your information as you provide either which will cause delays in your claim process, they will not inform you of anything they’re doing behind the scenes which leaves you to find out third-party (from the bank, from your insurance agency, etc.). They truly just want your money and they want to keep you in the dark so that you don’t know your rights. Also they will assign you agents that are ‘never in office’ so they never return your phone calls, emails, nothing. But they’ll still remain at work doing invisible (to you) things behind the scenes.
