An insurance broker in Colorado said that Amica is dropping Colorado policies due to fires and hailstorms. Doubling insurance premiums must be one of their tactics to drop policies. I was with Amica for 13 years, and they doubled my homeowner policy during renewal this month. They were always more expensive than other companies but doubling my policy is a downright insult to me. One of their agents told me it may be time to shop around for a new policy. Wow! The cost of their auto insurance is more expensive, as well. With a perfect driving record, excellent credit, and bundling discount among other discounts they supposedly gave me, I still paid a high premium that increased every 6 months. I dropped Amica altogether and am with a much more affordable insurer with a good reputation

I was a loyal customer for 8 years with multiple policies. I made two claims in that time and accepted rate increases. I've been paying more than average however I accepted this as Amica's service was better than most. However its been 3 years since my last claim and while I feel recent increases have been high, the most recent one doubled my home insurance policy. While I accept costs have gone up, they have not doubled unlike my policy. Amica clearly wants me to leave and I've had to do just that. It's a sad way to lose a loyal customer but I can't justify a 100% increase on top of the other increases in the past years. Nor does the justification make sense, the only reason I can see is greed. So long Amica, you were great when we needed you. It's just a shame you have raised your prices

Was with this company over 20 years and I should have switched years ago. The kicker was they told my home insurance was going up 50.00 increase. A couple months later contacted my mortgage company to find out the insurance went up 700.00. when I contacted Amica the agent told me who ever I spoke to was talking about my auto insurance and laughed. You call that good customer service??? Your company is terrible and I feel I was taken advantage of. Learn from my mistakes and run from this company. I should have read there reviews

Although Amica is based out of Rhode Island and probably a decent company - they have a Horrible Colorado franchise owner that has a single location to serve the entire state and they act as if they are above all. Disgusting customer service - frauds. I gave one star because there is no option for zero or minus.

Have had Amica insurance for 16 years - for everything. I have made one claim, just found out they have made 1% of your assessed home value as your deductible for hail and wind in Colorado. This quadruples my deductible. The agent didn't care.Have had Amica insurance for 16 years - for everything. As such, we’ve passed your feedback along and will have a representative reach out. Thank you. Still waiting for that call - most likely to confirm you don't care. What h
