AFR Insurance - American Farmers & Ranchers Mutual Insurance Company

I don't have a review per se, but I am looking to change from Farm Bureau because they don't like that I have a fireplace. I was going to look at AFR, but after reading these reviews it would be hard pressed to even entertain them. in almost 30+ years of paying I have only had 1 house claim (water damage) and 2 vehicle claims (very minor). can't believe insurance companies do this stuff. its such a racket.

This company calls my place of work everyday multiple times a day and hangs up on me when I answer. I have called them and asked to have our business removed. And the calls haven't stopped. If they can't be trusted to remove someone from their call list. They can't be trusted with your money

The policy holder does not have access online to their account. There is no login option. On 8/15 I submitted a document to close my account on 9/1 I have waited for my refund. Finally I called AFR and there was NO cancellation in my file hence no refund as of yet. If I had access to my account online I would have been able to see this sooner.

Hate to even give 1 star! Tornado( Nov 3 rd) Did severe damage to my Relatives Home. This company is Low Low balling. The home has been deemed inhabitable. It’s been 6 months! The amount of $ they have offered don’t come close to the cost of repairs/ replace. It’s disgusting how they are treating my Relatives! I would NOT use this insurance Company!

AFR Insurance is absolutely terrible. After faithfully paying for homeowner’s insurance with AFR for over 20 years without ever filing a claim, our house burned down, and we had to make a claim. It was the first and only claim we’ve ever made — and how did AFR respond? As soon as the claim was closed, 30 days later, they DROPPED us. After two decades of loyalty, they threw us aside when we actually needed them the most. Their claim of “taking care of Oklahomans” is a complete farce. They don’t care about their customers — they care about their bottom line. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for insurance. AFR will leave you high and dry when you need them the most.
